Second Grade Girls Counselors

Delilah K., G2A

Delilah is excited to come back to Elmwood for her third summer! She just recently finished her Freshman year at Penn State and has loved beginning this this new chapter in her life. As a child, Delilah attended Camp Westmont for seven years as a camper. She loves to stay active by playing sports during the year. Delilah is looking forward to creating bonds with her campers and has been counting down the days to another amazing summer at Elmwood.

Siobhan A., G2A

Siobhan attends the University at Albany (SUNY), she will be a sophomore in the upcoming school year, and she is a double major in social welfare and criminal justice and minoring in business. Some of her hobbies include singing, hanging out with friends and during the school year playing on the Women’s Rugby team at the University at Albany. Siobhan is most excited about working with the staff at Elmwood and giving the children an amazing. Three words that describe Siobhan are caring, fun, and adventurous. A fun fact about Siobhan is that she can draw and she loves to paint when she has some free time.

Madi D., G2B

Madi grew up attending Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua and just recently finished her Freshman year at Lehigh University. At Lehigh, Madi is studying Behavioral Neuroscience and minoring in Psychology. Madi attended Elmwood Day Camp from the ages of five to ten and then went to Campus Kids Minisink. She is most looking forward to meeting her campers and spending every day with them this summer. Madi’s favorite things about Elmwood are special event days, pool dancing and her Elmwood family!

Sabrina F., G2B

Sabrina is very excited to be returning to Elmwood for her first summer as a counselor. She will be joining her sister - also an Elmwood alum - who will be a counselor for her third summer. Sabrina graduated from Hastings High School in June 2019 and will be attending Bucknell University in the fall to study management. In high school, Sabrina acted in musical theater and was editor of the yearbook. She can not wait to get to meet her campers and have a great summer together.

Emily R., G2C

Emily is very excited to return to Elmwood for her fourth summer! She just graduated from Ohio University where she received a degree in special education. After attending Elmwood for two summers as a camper, Emily went to Camp Walden in Denmark, Maine for six summers. Her favorite shows are Parks and Rec and Friends, and she loves the musical Hamilton! She enjoys being active and loves the outdoors. Emily can’t wait for pool dancing, special events, singing all of the songs with her campers and spending the summer with the Elmwood community!

Madeleine Gr., G2C

Madeleine is thrilled to be working at Elmwood this summer. Madeleine is enthusiastic about most things in life, but she has a special love for storytelling, art, books, teaching, languages, music, hiking, and rock-climbing! Having grown up on three continents, she enjoys meeting people of different backgrounds and learning about their lives. She is so excited to attend Emerson College in September, where she will be majoring in Visual Media Art with a focus on film production. She attended Audubon Nature Camp from the ages of about five to 14 and feels that camp played a huge role in sparking many of her passions and igniting her curiosity. She can’t wait to meet all of her campers, and hopefully do the same for them.

Lauren R., G2D

Lauren just recently graduated from Ardsley High School and will be attending Manhattan College in the fall where she will be playing D1 softball. She has played varsity softball for Ardsley since 8th grade and currently plays 18U Gold for the Empire State Huskies travel organization. Lauren enjoys art, reading, hanging out with friends and playing sports. As a child, she attended Edgemont Day Camp and various athletic camps such as Nike and Revolution. Lauren is most looking forward to working closely with others and building new friendships this summer. She is excited to get to know everyone and be a part of Elmwood’s energetic team.

Zoë M-W., G2D

Zoë has recently finished her freshman year at Syracuse University where she is currently majoring in psychology. She attended Elmwood from 2006 to 2010 and then spent the next seven summers as both a camper and a counselor at Camp Schodack. Zoë loves movies and music and will dance to just about anything. Her favorite camp activity is arts and crafts. She is extremely excited to return to Elmwood as a staff member, meet all of her new campers, and have an amazing fun-filled summer!

Second Grade Boys Counselors

Noah Br., B2A

Noah Broude just finished his senior year at high school and will be attending the College of William and Mary in the fall. When he was younger, he went to Camp Emerson in Hinsdale, Massachusetts for 6 years and loved every second of it. In his spare time, Noah enjoys playing the drums, reading, and going out with his friends. Noah looks forward to giving the same great camp experience that his counselors gave to him when he went to summer camp.

Ryan B., B2A

Ryan just finished his senior year at Horace Greely High School. Growing up, Ryan attending many travel programs during the summer, which lead to his passion in hiking. His greatest accomplishment has been reaching the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa. In addition to hiking, Ryan loves to play sports and loves teaching sport to kids! He has coached basketball through the Town of New Castle Rec Department, which he absolutely loved doing. Ryan is so excited to meet his campers and to help each of them enjoy an incredible summer experience.

Cole D., B2B

Cole is very excited to be returning for his fourth summer at Elmwood as a group counselor. Cole just recently graduated from Quinnipiac University where he developed his passion for psychology, specifically in the field of child and developmental psychology. Cole likes to participate in almost all sports and also enjoys art. His favorite Elmwood activities include gaga, cooking, 9 in the air, and daily swim. Cole is excited for all of the great activities and events that make Elmwood a one of a kind experience.

Mitch Sa., B2B

Mitchell Saunders is a rising senior at Blind Brook High School. He takes part in many school clubs in including Mock Trial, Jazz Ensemble, and Model UN. His interests outside of school are political science and entrepreneurship. He is an Elmwood alumnae. He’s really looking forward to being a part of the Elmwood family again! Although it has been a few years, he is very excited for this summer!

Sadiki S., B2B

During the year, Sadiki goes to St. Thomas Aquinas College, where he is majoring in Communication Arts. He is entering his senior year and is hoping to pursue a career in film, video games, or cartoons in terms of screenwriting or directing. In his spare time, Sadiki loves to write/recite poetry, bake, play video games, perform theater and dance to music. He has been described as funny, hard-working and polite. This is Sadiki’s first summer at Elmwood and he is so excited! As a child, Sadiki attended Camp Hawkeye in New Hampshire. Last summer he worked there as a bunk counselor and loved it! It was so fun for him to be able to bond, have fun and learn alongside his fellow counselors and campers. He is looking forward to meeting all of his campers and having a fun summer at Elmwood!

Kubaja M., B2C

Kubaja is coming back all the way from Ghana for his second summer at Elmwood. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana and a Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Banking and Finance from The University of Jordan. He currently works as a Business Development Associate for a Management Consultancy firm in Accra Ghana. Kubaja enjoys soccer, cycling and hiking, but he is most passionate about teaching and volunteer work. He has volunteered at Gaza Camp in Jerash, Jordan and has worked as a high school teacher back in Ghana. Kubaja’s friends call him the “happiness pill,” because of his humor and energy. He is looking forward to another Elmwood experience and to learning more about American culture from his campers.

Victor R., B2C

Victor is excited to return to Elmwood for his second year as a group counselor! As a child, Vic always attended various sports camps throughout the tri-state area, which is where his passion for camps began. He loves to play football, basketball, and baseball. In his downtime, Vic loves playing video games and creating music. Victor is so excited to be see his previous campers and meet all of the new campers!

Alex H., B2D

Alex is coming all the way from England to spend his first summer at Elmwood! Although Alex never went to camp growing up, he has heard great things about summer camp in the US and is so excited to be a part of such an incredible experience. Back at home, Alex works as a manager at a footwear store, where he also enjoys hiking, soccer and being active. Alex has two nieces who he absolutely adores, and tries to babysit as much as possible. Alex is so excited to get to know his campers and help them have an enjoyable summer.

Josh C., B2D

Josh is very excited for the summer. He just finished his freshman year at Penn State and is working towards joining the business school. He is hardworking and determined to succeed in anything he sets his mind to. He is also passionate about sports and loves to participate in all sorts of activities. Josh hopes all the campers have as much fun as he had when he went to camp.

Dylan T., B2E

Dylan is a computer science major at Tufts and is going to be a sophomore this fall. He was a camper here in elementary school and he is super excited to be back as a counselor! In his free time he likes to ride his bicycle, go hiking, and play guitar. At camp, though, his favorite activity is to play gaga! He is looking forward to meeting the campers and spending a fantastic summer with them! Fun fact: He’s never broken a bone (and he plans on keeping it that way 😉).

Kymani C., B2E

Kymani will be a junior at the College of Staten Island in the fall. He currently studies philosophy/political science and English literature while pursuing the pre-law track. In his spare time, he reads various books, watches documentaries, and stays active within his community. After previously working for a summer camp, he has been passionate about working with kids. This is his first year with Elmwood as a counselor, and his goal is to uplift every camper.
