Elmwood buses and vans are more than just a ride to camp! They are an integral part of the Elmwood experience. Camp songs, bus games and talking with friends are the bookends to your child’s camp day.

The camp day begins at the corner

We provide transportation from NYC: Manhattan, the Upper West Side, Upper East Side, and Riverdale. We are located 30 minutes from Manhattan. Campers are picked up on their nearest corner.

Our Commitment to Safety

We are committed to our campers’ safety and well being on their ride to and from camp. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail. One of our directors, Gregg, and our Transportation Director, Rachel, oversee the overall safety of our system from route design and parent communication, to the daily supervision of bus drivers and counselors.

Drivers and Counselors

All of our drivers undergo our Elmwood training program. In addition, our bus drivers have their New York State Commercial Drivers Licenses (CDL). Every New York City vehicle has at least two bus counselors so that they can manage safety and engage with campers. Our transportation staff takes the time to get to know campers and families and create the best possible experience for your child.
