It All Starts with Connection
Every Elmwood story begins with connection. Before the summer even starts, each family meets one-on-one with Hillari or Gregg to learn about what makes Elmwood special — and to share all about what makes your child special. These conversations are the first step in creating a summer that feels personal and joyful.
Meet Our Incredible Division Heads
Our Division Heads are the heart and soul of Elmwood. They care, lead, and inspire campers every single day — bringing their experience, warmth, and enthusiasm to everything they do. They’re master’s-level teachers, school psychologists, social workers, and other experts in child development. They’re deeply committed to helping campers grow, counselors shine, and families feel connected.
Each Division Head oversees two to three groups, giving them the time and space to truly know every camper. They mentor and guide counselors and jump right into the fun — from drama and instructional swim to archery and science. You’ll find them cheering campers on, helping new friendships form, and celebrating every “I did it!” moment.
Families Are Involved Every Step of the Way
We believe that communication builds confidence — for campers and parents! Each summer, your child’s Division Head will call you before camp starts setting the stage for open, easy communication all summer long. Once camp is underway, they become your direct link to all things Elmwood — keeping you in the loop and making sure you feel connected to your camper’s experience.
Staying Connected All Year Long
Our partnership doesn’t end on the last day of camp. We love hearing about campers’ achievements and growth throughout the year. We’ll also stay connected through phone calls and emails, because building that relationship helps us create an even better experience summer after summer.
