We had a BIG week at Elmwood. We had BIG fun, BIG adventures, BIG new experiences and BIG events. This week we had five days of sunshine while doing amazing activities with our friends and counselors. We loved every moment of this week because of what we got to do and who we got to do it with!
Check out some fun highlights of week four!
Some Special Events are just magical. Think BIG was that and so much more. There were big game shows, giant coloring murals, gigantic water slides, jumbo go karts, huge blocks, massive kickball games, humongous foosball games, and even the world’s largest I Spy Game! It was incredible!
We love our hiking program at Elmwood. This week, we had our scheduled by-age hikes and our fourth graders also had a chance to go on an extra hike with Jerry, our Hiking Director Emeritus. Campers went to Rockefeller Preserve for some steep climbs, epic views, wonderful stories and a chance to see how much they could accomplish when they set their mind to it.
Electives are one of the best parts of the week. This week’s electives were:
Egg Carton Crafts Block Bots Build It, Break It Breakfast Making Club Tricks, Jokes and Magic Make Your Own Instrument Super Spy Club Giant Volleyball Street Hockey TV Journalism Scrapbooking
Sign Language World Cup Soccer Spinning Science Fortune Telling Weaving Wall Art Archery Pickleball Coil Vases Scrapbooking

This week our Seniors started their new Majors including Pinball Making, Metal Arts, Musical Theater and Sports League. They also got to go to Darlington Beach on Wednesday for a day of fun, sun, swimming and playing in the sand!
On Monday, many of our staff participated in this wonderful game show where they sang, juggled, performed amazing math feats and even speed drew. The kids loved every minute of it!
##PROJECT MORRY WALK-A-THON To conclude our four week service learning program, we had our annual Walk-A-Thon to raise money for Project Morry. Congratulations to all of our campers who learned about how one of our responsibilities as human beings is to help others. If you have not yet donated, please do so here.
